Sleepy White Waltham is awash with vehicles and aircraft as the yearly show kicked off in August. With a lot of events becoming a little 'too commercial' thee days, this show is a breath of fresh air, and maybe these small events are the future.
I set off , with Mat, My neighbour strapped into the passenger seat for his first taste of the Caterham, and st off to meet SteveC and my Father-in-Law, who had cycled down from Bracknell (are you mad !)
The actual show is held on the land immediately adjacent to the airfield and is quite sizeable, with displays of American vehicles from some very cool rusty 'rat-look; American rods, British classics, British 'not-so classics' , to a display of Winnebagos. I'm not quite understanding the Winnebago crew, as all the dashboards were festooned with American Indian sculptures, and confederate flags.... !!!

After being joined by my wife and her mum, we all had a very nice Cornish pasty washed down by some seriously good ale that I can't remember the name of , and watched the an Extra 330 being absolutely thrown all over the sky. This was followed by a quartet of De Havilland aircraft doing various stunts including flying under a 'limbo rope', and bursting balloons , all at very low level....very entertaining !

| and...Limbo ! |
The star of he show had to be the very retro Wall of Death, with a father and sun team giving a thrilling show riding some very old machinery including a very old Indian bike with a wicked crackle on the over-run - it truly made the day.
All that was left to finish the day properly was to jump into our equally old machinery and 'drive home at a safe speed'
The end !
