Horrible thoughts of having to wander around, IN BROAD DAYLIGHT in a spandex gimp-suit abounded !
I got up ready for the off at 8.00am (which is about all I knew was happening) - I was expecting a few Sevens and sure enough, Steve turned up at 8 in the "Napier Crossflow" (left), complete with musical horn !!!
Then more, and more Sevens starting turning up !! - so much so that pretty much the whole street was filled with the things (oh, and one Elise !! - pesky cars with radios AND Heaters)
Bacon Sarnies and copious mugs of tea appeared , and an on-spec ReHaB meet ensued as curtains twitched arounf the Close as the rudely awoken neighbours wondered what the hell was going on !!!
Everyone starting strapping in as I , Still , none the wiser , pushed the 7 out of the garage to join the convoy.

Eventually, it became apparent that the target was Hendon RAF Museum, where, courtesy of our new teacher, Mr. Cannonball, we were handed our questionairres and headed off into the museum !
They have pretty much everything from the last 40 years in there, and all in almost 'pristine' condition incluing Vulcan, Lancaser, B17, oh, and somefunny twin rotor helicopters !!!!! There was so much to see it took all day to see everything, and we set off for the return journey, which we completed despite a Plymouth Grand Voyagers attemp to ram me and Colin at the lights on a roundabout !!!!
Shortly after more alcohol and tyre kicking on the front lawn of Wilto Towers , the throb of a V8 interrupted the proceedings as James Whiting turned up in his 1957 Buick Special to take us down to the second stop of the day, The Ascot Spice for a Ruby. Lots of curry, and more beeer later, we found ourselves at Mad Hatters, where a few more ales were quaffed before heading home to crash out watching the Battle of Britain !!!!!
