Sunrise Sevens Dunsfold Blat

21 May 2011.....Three Sevens formed-up for another epic blat at the usual RV in Farnham. One pre-blat remark from a certain 'tall-bloke'.... "I'm sure I won't be able to keep up" drew a wry smile from his blat-mates.

SteveC's route took us through some fantastic roads, reaching fever-pitch through some high-hedgerow lined single-track lanes,followed by some great twisties. A few surprises , like coming round a bend to find the rozzers in a 4x4 dead ahead, as we tried to look nonchalantly like we weren't slamming on the anchors !!! - a little smile and a 'good morning' and we were back in the blat-o-sphere !


Our route took us past an interesting radar post at former RAF base, Oakhanger with some strange Prisoner-esque domes, and a seriously fortified entrance barrier (which of course , we could just drive under !)  . A quick check on dalongblokes clickety-clicking diff  confirmed the after-effects some serious doughnutting at a previous event, and we pedalled off to escape the gaze of the multitude of cameras, no doubt focussed on the only 3 cars in the area !

We stopped for the usual 'healthy-option' at a local greasy-spoon, and headed onwards to Dunsfold, where action was taking place on the 1/4 mile, skid pan,slalom and Top Gear test-track.

Caterham had also brought their very cool new F1-liveried 7. (How long before www.caterhamf1.com becomes the new Team Lotus website I wonder !!!!)
